Chaimaa Essayeh

Chaimaa Essayeh is a Research associate, Market design for scaling up local clean energy systems at School of engineering, University of Edinburgh. She holds an MSc in communication systems and a PhD in computer science. Her research is focused on AI for smart grids with interests in optimal energy management strategies, advanced methods for energy and consumption forecasting and renewable sources integration with the grid. Her role within EnergyREV focused on the challenge of integrating new local markets for peer-to-peer energy trading and distribution system flexibility into power system operations. This involved the application of advanced methods from multi-agent control, stochastic optimisation and game theory.
