Professor Joanne Patterson is based at the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University where she leads the Energy, Environment and People Research and Scholarship Group. As a member of the Management and Scientific Committees in the Low Carbon Research Institute Convergence Energy Programme Joanne worked with a broad range of industry to deliver new knowledge and technologies to provide both business opportunities and help Wales deliver on its low carbon agenda. She is currently leading research on the SPECIFIC Low Carbon Built Environment demonstration project implementing replicable, appropriate and affordable low carbon technologies into the built environment. She was Co-I and responsible for End User Engagement and Dissemination in the EU COST ACTION Smart Energy Regions project, which involved 28 European Countries. As lead of the knowledge management, engagement and dissemination team for EnergyREV Joanne is enabling coordinated and effective engagement between consortium members and with a broad range of stakeholders to successfully disseminate knowledge to help deliver EnergyREV and PFER programme.
