UKRI is investing over £100 million into its ‘Prospering from the Energy Revolution’ programme. This involves over 180 organisations across the UK - energy companies, tech businesses, universities, community groups and local authorities - collaborating on more than 50 projects exploring innovative energy system approaches. The projects range from design concepts to large-scale multi-million-pound demonstrators and are providing evidence on how local integrated systems could deliver cleaner and cheaper energy solutions helping the acceleration of progress towards net zero.
With so much activity, it can be difficult to keep track of what is happening and where.
The 'Smart local energy systems: the energy revolution takes shape' brochure showcases the range of work under way on local approaches to energy for net zero. The brochure provides an excellent reference point enabling innovators with common interests to connect. EnergyREV hope this collation of projects will inspire new thinking and projects in smart local energy systems.
